Vodka Martini

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 cl vodka
  • 1 cl vermouth
  • n. B. lemon zest
  • possibly olives

Instructions

Working time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 3 minutes

Ideally, pre-chill the martini glass (in the refrigerator or briefly in the freezer). In a mixing glass, whisk the ingredients over ice. Try not to crush the ice cubes, as this could dilute the drink. Strain the liquid into the chilled glass using a strainer. Squeeze a piece of lemon zest over the top and garnish with a skewered olive. Note: This classic, which Bond unfortunately drinks shaken, is all about the ingredients. If you want to skimp on vodka or vermouth, you probably won’t like this classic, as it won’t taste good. My recommendations: Finlandia Vodka (first choice), Stolichnaya (if you can get that, consider yourself lucky). Absolut is also fine, and Noilly Prat is the only vermouth I’d consider. The Vodka Martini is a variation of the Martini cocktail and also serves as an aperitif.
