Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 240 g flour (type 405)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 90 g sugar
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Fat for the waffle iron

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

Cookies are baked in the waffle iron

Combine flour, egg, sugar, butter, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in a bowl and knead into a dough using your hands or a dough hook. Shape this dough into a log about 5-6 cm thick and let it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Heat the waffle iron and grease it (if necessary). Cut approximately 1 cm thick slices from the log, place them one after the other in the center of the waffle iron, and bake. This will give the cookies a beautiful pattern.
