Walnut Cake À La Manni

The perfect walnut cake à la manni recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Possibly:

  • Half or chopped
  • 250 g Margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 4 cl Rum
  1. Put the soft margarine (room temperature), sugar, eggs and milk in a bowl and mix well with a mixer until frothy. Then add the flour and baking powder and stir well again. (Possibly add vanilla sugar and / or rum and stir well again). Then add the walnuts and mix well with the batter (preferably with a wooden spoon). Put everything in a baking pan.
  2. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C top and bottom heat (middle rack) and then bake the dough for 50 – 60 minutes.

Tip:

  1. I prefer to take half the walnut kernels and put these walnut halves in a plastic / breakfast or freezer bag and chop them up to the size I want, e.g. with a schnitzel / pork chopper. I prefer it when I have half the amount of small pieces and the other half amount is so small that these are like finely ground nuts.
