Walnut chocolate muffins

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 3 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 organic orange(s)
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g chocolate
  • 100 g walnuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

for a 12-cup muffin tray

Preheat the oven to 190°C (top/bottom heat). Line a muffin tin with paper baking cups. Wash the orange in hot water and grate the zest. Roughly chop the walnuts and chocolate. Cream the butter. Add the eggs and continue beating. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, milk, and orange zest. Mix the flour and baking powder. Stir in the flour mixture and continue beating for two minutes. Add the chocolate and nuts to the batter and fold in. Divide the batter among the 12 muffin cases. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 25 minutes. Decorate with chocolate icing and walnuts, if desired.
