Watermelon herring salad

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 matjes fillet(s), Nordic style, approx. 220 g
  • 300 g watermelon(s), flesh without seeds
  • 200 g cucumber(s)
  • 100 g onion(s), red
  • ½ tsp Pul Biber
  • 1 tbsp ginger root
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 150 g Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbsp chervil or parsley

fruity and spicy

Cut the herring fillets, melon flesh, peeled cucumber, and cleaned onion into medium-sized cubes. Mix in the grated ginger, pul biber, soy sauce, chili sauce, and chopped chervil or parsley and refrigerate. Serve well chilled with baguette or flatbread.
