inexpensive and delicious!

Remove the sardine fillets from the can and drain, discarding the oil, and arrange the fillets on a plate. Thinly slice the unwaxed lemon and finely chop the garlic. Mix the lemon juice with the olive oil and chopped garlic, pour over the sardines, and season with a little pepper. Garnish the fish with the lemon slices and chopped parsley and serve with crusty white bread. Tip: Let the sardines marinate for a while before serving, making them even more delicious.
