wonderfully simple, delicious, aromatic watermelon sorbet to make yourself
When it’s really hot in the summer and you need to cool down, there’s nothing better than a light, refreshing sorbet. Watermelon is a perennial favorite in the summer, so I thought a simple watermelon sorbet would be the perfect way to cool down. The great thing about it is that this sorbet uses very little added sugar, and the lime juice adds a slightly citrusy note. P.S. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, just take a roasting pan and freeze it beforehand. Once the sorbet mixture is made, pour it into the cold roasting pan and refreeze. Every 30 minutes, use a fork to pull the sorbet mixture in from the edge of the roasting pan and stir it gently. After 2 hours, you should have creamy sorbet. Ingredients: • 1.2 KG watermelon (with rind) • 40 ml lime juice • 1 tbsp icing sugar Preparation: 1. Clean the watermelon and puree the flesh with the lime juice. 2. Now press the watermelon through a sieve to filter out any hard pulp residue and the seeds. 3. Now also press the icing sugar through a sieve and stir in. You can also adjust the amount of sugar here. 4. Freeze everything in an ice cream maker or using the roasting pan method as described above. Have fun trying it out!
