Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 egg(s)
- 200 g soft wheat (Weizli or Ebly), dry
- 600 ml water
- 250 g sugar snap peas or green beans
- 50 ml olive oil
- 50 ml lemon juice
- 1 tbsp honey or rice syrup
- 100 g almonds
- salt and pepper
- e.g. Dill tips, fresh or shredded
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 25 minutes
Whisk the egg in a bowl, add the Weizli and mix everything well. Then fry the mixture in a saucepan over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add 600 ml of water and cook everything over medium heat. Meanwhile, cook the snow peas or green beans in another saucepan until soft, then cut them into small strips. For the dressing, mix olive oil with lemon juice and honey (I always do this in a shaker). Then add 50 g of almonds and 1 teaspoon of dill and mix again well. Drain the Weizli, mix with the pods or beans and then mix with the dressing. Now stir in the remaining almonds and, if desired, dill. Season with salt and pepper and let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight. It still tastes good the next day.
