Well-known potato and cheese bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 190 ml mashed potatoes from the previous day
  • 40 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 110 g flour
  • 3 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 125 ml milk, cold
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Combine the puree and cheese. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut the butter into the flour, stir in the mashed potatoes, and knead into a rough dough. The flour and mashed potatoes must be well blended into the dough. Stir in the milk until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to a thickness of 1.5 cm. Cut into equal-sized squares. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C (top/bottom heat).
