Westphalian beer soup

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • ¼ liter beer, light, possibly up to 0.5 l
  • 2 packets of pudding powder (vanilla flavor)
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Country woman’s recipe

Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan, combine the pudding mix, sugar, raw eggs, and salt with 1/4 liter of beer, and stir into the boiling milk. Bring back to a boil briefly, stirring constantly. Season to taste with the remaining beer and more sugar. Then fold in the washed raisins and let cool.
