Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 30 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • some olive oil, for frying
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 small bunch of basil
  • 5 cl whiskey (bourbon)
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Honey
  • pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

This recipe makes enough for one large bowl of salad. Heat a little olive oil in a small saucepan. Finely dice the onion and garlic clove and sauté. Deglaze with a good splash of whiskey and simmer for a while to evaporate the alcohol. In a small bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, a little honey, and mustard. Roughly chop the basil into the dressing using scissors and season generously with salt and pepper. Let it cool (refrigerate) and toss with any salad or simply serve it on top of tomato and mozzarella. Add a little more whiskey to taste.
