Dough can also be used for rolls
Sift the flour, mix with the salt, and make a well in the center. Add the butter to the well. Dissolve the yeast in the milk and pour it into the well. Mix with the dough hook of a hand mixer on the lowest speed until the ingredients are combined. Then knead for 3 minutes on the highest speed. Let the dough rise for 20 minutes at 20°C. Knead the dough thoroughly on a floured surface and form it into a rope. Make sure the dough is smooth, i.e., without cracks or anything similar. Place the dough in a greased 35cm long loaf pan and make three horizontal slits about 1cm deep. Place a heatproof bowl of warm water in the bottom of the oven. You can also spray the bread with lukewarm water before baking. Bake for 40 minutes on the middle rack. Conventional heat 225°C, fan oven 190°C, gas mark 4-5. Tip: If you’re making rolls from the dough, you can add ham, cheese, and fried onions as desired while kneading after the dough has risen. These rolls are perfect for parties.
