  • 500 g tomatoes, chopped

  • chili powder

  • n. B. cooked ham
  • n. B. Mushrooms, brown
  • n. B. pepper(s), red
  • n. B. capers

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Make a dough from flour, oil, sea salt, oregano, crumbled yeast, and lukewarm water. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 35-40 minutes. In the meantime, make a pizza sauce from tomatoes, garlic, and the remaining spices and let it rest until the dough has risen sufficiently. Then roll out the dough and divide it between two large rectangular baking sheets or three round pizza sheets. Spread the sauce first, then the grated cheese, and then top with the remaining ingredients as desired. Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes at 200°C (temperature may vary depending on the oven). Tip: I like cooked ham, peppers, mushrooms, and a spicy cheese (Gorgonzola or feta cheese), but there are a thousand other ways to top this whole-wheat pizza.
