In particular, blueberries contain a lot of silicon, which strengthens bones, and improves joint mobility, skin, hair, and nails. Blueberries also contain a lot of iron, iodine, manganese, and antioxidants. In addition, this berry contains myrtillin, which lowers blood sugar levels.

“Eating fresh blueberries, a person absorbs only a part of their beneficial properties, as the stone is practically undigested. At the same time, many of the berry’s valuable substances are found in the bone,” the expert wrote on Instagram.

In particular, blueberry bones contain the following important components: omega fatty acids, polyphenols, antioxidants, pectins, and chlorogenic acid.

The nutritionist also named other berries that are useful for the body:

  • sea buckthorn – improves the condition of hair and nails.
  • cranberry – has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system, and lower blood pressure.
  • raspberry – boosts immunity and is a natural antipyretic;
  • lingonberry – helps the bronchopulmonary system recover from coronavirus due to the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of berries.
