Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg(s), including the yolk
  • 40 g sugar
  • ¼ lemon(s)
  • ¼ liter white wine

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Chaudeau sauce

Whisk all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat until bubbly. Continue whisking while cooling. On cold winter days, I skip this step and simply spoon the chaudeau sauce warm. It goes well with sponge cakes, steamed dumplings, and bread dishes. Tip: If you have children with you, you can use apple juice instead of wine.
