Winter fruit salad with chicory

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 heads of chicory
  • 2 small bananas
  • 1 grapefruit(s), pink
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 small can of pineapple
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the chicory into strips and marinate with a little lemon juice. Peel the grapefruit and add the flesh, preferably without the skin, to the chicory. Chop the bananas and mix in immediately. Drain the pineapple and add it to the salad. If desired, you can also use a little of the pineapple juice. Finally, season the salad with vanilla sugar and, if desired, lemon juice. The salad is best eaten the same day. However, it still needs to be left to marinate for about half an hour to allow the flavors to blend better. Depending on your taste, you can of course add other fruit, whether fresh or canned, or raisins.
