Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 ml cream
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 organic orange(s)
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 vanilla pod(s) or some vanilla from the mill
  • 1 tsp. clove powder
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch of cardamom powder
  • 100 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Separate the eggs, juice the orange, and zest one half of the orange. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Combine the orange zest and juice in a blender with the cream, milk, egg yolks, and spices. Finally, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, mix everything thoroughly again and freeze it in a suitable container. The amount of spices and grated orange zest can be adjusted to suit your taste.
