Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 150 g sugar
- 100 g brown sugar
- 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
- 2 oranges, blood oranges (peel)
- 125 ml water
- 250 ml juice, blood orange juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Finely grate the zest from 2 blood oranges using a zester. Heat the sugar, brown sugar, and water until dissolved. Add the cinnamon sticks and orange peel and simmer gently for about 30 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and add the blood orange juice, whisking vigorously with a hand blender. Freeze in a metal container in the freezer, stirring thoroughly every 30 minutes. The sorbet is ready to serve after 3-4 hours.
