wholesome

Do you know that feeling when you want to eat healthy all year round, but in winter the choices sometimes get monotonous? It’s always important to me to avoid processed foods, and in winter I ruminate around for a little variety. This delicious winter salad is just the thing. The Brussels sprouts are cleaned and halved, as are the grapes. The onions are finely diced and heated in a pan with the bacon. The walnuts are lightly chopped. The Brussels sprouts are fried in a pan with a little oil, then a little water is added to the pan and the lid is closed, allowing the sprouts to cook for 8-10 minutes. Once all the ingredients are prepared, they are mixed together in a bowl. Add red balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and cumin, if desired. And you have a wholesome, healthy salad that you can enjoy with a piece of bread or a piece of meat.
