Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 15 stems of woodruff with flowers
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 liter of liquor (corn liquor, cognac, vodka, etc.)

Harvest the woodruff shortly before or after the blossoms open and let it dry briefly. Meanwhile, add 200 g of sugar to a 1.5-liter container. Add the woodruff and fill with the liquor. After three weeks, filter. The liqueur should mature for another three months in the cellar. Will it last that long? Woodruff: used in folk medicine to treat nervous restlessness, lung, stomach, intestinal, liver, gallbladder, and kidney disorders, as well as venous disorders.
