Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g flour
- some salt
- 125 ml mineral water
- 70 g fat, e.g. margarine
- ½ pack of yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 250 g bacon, streaky, diced
- 250 g onion(s), spicy, diced
- curry powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes
filled bacon and onion rolls
In a bowl, knead flour, yeast, soda, salt, sugar, and fat into a dough (the fat should not touch the yeast directly). Cover and keep warm until well-risen. Knead again and let rise for another 10 minutes. Fry the onions and bacon, then season with curry powder, if desired. Roll out the dough and cut out palm-sized circles. Place the filling (not too hot) in the center and press the edges together. Place the rolls, closed side down, on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200-220°C for 15-20 minutes. They taste best warm.
