Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 125 g margarine
- 250 ml milk, lukewarm
- ½ cube of yeast, fresh
- 25 g sugar
- 1 tsp salt (heaped tsp)
- 50 g raisins
- 50 g sugar
- some cinnamon
- e.g. jam (apricot), heated or powdered sugar glaze
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Melt the margarine and add the lukewarm milk. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm liquid and sprinkle with 25g of sugar. Let stand until bubbles appear. Then add the flour and salt and knead vigorously until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Then roll out into a rectangular sheet of dough approximately 0.5cm thick. Brush with water and sprinkle with raisins and a mixture of cinnamon and 50g of sugar (if you like, you can also sprinkle butter flakes on the dough). Roll up the dough from one side and cut into 1-2cm wide slices. Place these on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 10-20 minutes. Glaze with hot apricot jam or powdered sugar glaze, if desired. Serve fresh.
