Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g wholemeal wheat flour
  • 300 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg(s), beaten
  • 425 ml natural yogurt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Grease and flour a baking sheet. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt into a large bowl. Combine the egg and yogurt and add to the dry ingredients. Mix everything well and knead into a soft, sticky dough. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few minutes until smooth. Shape it into a round loaf. Place the loaf on the prepared baking sheet and make a cross-shaped cut in the top. Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
