Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 100 g smoked belly (smoked pork belly)
- 1 onion(s)
- 300 g lean pork
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
- 125 ml broth
- 300 g rice (long grain rice)
- 2 bell peppers (yellow and red)
- 750 ml broth
- n. B. Pfeffer
- n. B. Salt
- possibly Tabasco
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Dice the pork belly and onion and fry in oil. Cut the pork into strips and brown them. Then add the tomato paste and paprika and pour in 125 ml of broth. Now cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes. Add the long-grain rice to the meat, trim, wash, and dice the bell peppers, and add them to the pan with the rice. Then pour in the remaining 750 ml of broth and cook for 25-30 minutes. (The liquid must be completely absorbed by the rice.) Season to taste. If you like it spicier, you can use chili powder instead of pepper.
