Zebra Cake

The perfect zebra cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 piece Eggs (M)
  • 250 ml Oil
  • 250 ml Mineral water
  • 380 g Flour
  • 1 Baggage. Baking powder
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 Cans Tangerines a 315ml
  • 2 Baggage. Paradise cream vanilla
  • 600 g Sour cream
  • 400 g Whipped cream
  • 1 Can Tangerines a 315 ml
  • Chocolate shavings
  1. Beat eggs and sugar until frothy. Stir in the oil and mineral water. Fold in 350 g flour and baking powder. Preheat the oven to 150 ° C (fan oven 130 ° C).
  2. Divide the dough. Stir cocoa powder into one half. Stir 30 g of flour into the light dough. Place the dough alternately tablespoon by tablespoon in a 26 cm greased springform pan. Put the doughs on top of each other, not side by side. Bake for about 70 minutes (do a stick test), let cool and then cut in half horizontally.
  3. Drain the tangerines. Catch the juice and stir into the sour cream with paradise cream. Fold in the tangerines.
  4. Cover the lower base with a cake ring, spread the cream, place on the upper base. Whip the whipped cream until stiff, spread the cake. Garnish with drained mandarins and garnish with chocolate shavings. Chill for 2-3 hours. P.S .: Always bake and fill my cakes 1 day in advance and decorate the next day.
