Zucchini and tomato gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg zucchini
  • 1 kg tomatoes
  • 1 bag of cheese, grated, e.g. Gouda or Emmental
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • Butter or margarine to grease the mold
  • salt and pepper
  • Garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease the dish. Cut the tomatoes and zucchini into 1 cm thick slices and layer them in the baking dish. Season each layer with salt and pepper. Season the cream generously with salt, pepper, and garlic and pour evenly over the layered slices. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake until golden brown. Serve with fresh baguette or fresh bread rolls.
