Zucchini – cream cheese – sauce a la Mäusle

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g zucchini, grated
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s), diced
  • 1 cup cream cheese (light)
  • 250g tzatziki
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with tzatziki as a garlic substitute

Heat the oil thoroughly in a nonstick pan. Sauté the grated zucchini and diced onion. Season with salt and simmer covered over low heat for about 10 minutes (the zucchini will absorb the water). Add the cream cheese, tzatziki, and parsley to taste. Season with salt and pepper. Bring back to a boil briefly, then turn off the heat and let stand for another 10 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, thin it slightly with water, milk, or cream. Serve with spaghetti.
