Zurich marzipan treats

Ingredients for 25 servings:

  • 200 g marzipan – raw mass
  • 125 g powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 65 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 100 g candied orange peel, finely chopped
  • Wafers (baking wafers), 4 cm diameter
  • 150 g semi-sweet chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Knead the marzipan, powdered sugar, egg, flour, and candied orange peel until smooth. Form walnut-sized balls and place them on the wafers. Bake at approximately 160°C (320°F) for 25 to 30 minutes until light golden. Once cooled, cover with chocolate coating and decorate with chocolate (hearts, ornaments) or sugar decorations.
