Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 20 peppercorns (Sichuan peppercorns)
  • 4 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • ¾ tbsp fennel seeds
  • 6 carnations
  • 1 anise, star
  • 25 g salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

5 Spices

If you’d like to use it as a seasoning salt, dry-roast the salt in a hot pan. Grind the remaining ingredients (I use an old electric coffee grinder that only grinds spices). Use the five-spice powder separately or with the salt as a seasoning salt or as a dry dip.
