Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 red bell peppers
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ¼ tube(s) Tomato paste
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 50 g sugar
  • 300 ml beef broth
  • 3 tsp paprika powder, sweet or hot
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Perfect for a delicious currywurst

Chop the shallots and garlic. Roughly dice the bell pepper and chop the chili. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onions and garlic. Add the diced bell pepper. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Add the tomato paste and chopped chili, and stir vigorously. Deglaze with the broth and season with curry powder and paprika, then reduce the mixture. Finally, puree with a hand blender. Adjust seasoning as desired.
