Applesauce cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g sugar
  • 125 g margarine
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 jar applesauce
  • some powdered sugar or icing
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Knead flour, sugar, margarine, egg, and baking powder into a dough and divide into two halves. Roll out the first half, place it in a greased 26cm springform pan, and press it flat. Form a rim. Spread the applesauce on top. Roll out the second half and cut into strips about 1cm wide using a wheel (or knife). Arrange these strips on the applesauce to form a lattice. Bake at about 200°C until the lattice is golden yellow. After baking, either cover the cake with icing or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
