Applesauce cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 jar applesauce (750 g)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla pudding powder
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 3 cups of sour cream, 200 g each = 600 g
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiffly

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Dough: Beat margarine, sugar, and eggs until fluffy, then combine flour and baking powder and stir in. Pour the dough into a prepared 26cm springform pan and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 12-15 minutes. Topping: Heat applesauce and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix the vanilla pudding powder with the milk and stir into the applesauce. Bring to a boil, stirring vigorously. Pour the applesauce mixture onto the prebaked base. Sour cream topping: Mix the sour cream, sugar, and egg yolks. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour the mixture onto the applesauce and bake for another 20-30 minutes at the same temperature.
