Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 130 g sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 150 g margarine
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 400 g nuts, ground
  • 2 egg whites, beaten stiffly
  • n. B. Chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes

Make a dough from the first 6 ingredients. Let it rest in the fridge for one hour. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and roll out the dough on it (best done with cling film over the dough). This will make a very thin base! Then melt the fat, sugar, water, and rum in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir in the nuts, then the beaten egg whites. Spread the mixture over the base. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 25 minutes until light golden. Immediately cut into suitable pieces (works best with a pizza cutter). Once cooled, dip the edges in melted chocolate coating.
