Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 450 g spelt flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp liquid honey
  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 280 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 1 tbsp milk for brushing
  • Oil for the bowl

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

for 11 rolls

Sift the flour, add salt and honey and mix with the softened butter to form crumbs. Mix the yeast with the lukewarm milk, add to the flour mixture and knead everything into an elastic dough. Knead for about 8-10 minutes. Place the dough in a lightly oiled and covered bowl and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Knead the dough again and form about 11 rolls. Place them, spaced apart, on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and score the tops with a sharp knife. Then cover and let rise for another 20 minutes in a warm place. Now brush the rolls with milk and bake on the middle rack for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
