Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of toast
  • Ham
  • Cheese (Gouda)
  • Tomato paste
  • pepper
  • Flour
  • egg(s)
  • breadcrumbs
  • oil
  • oregano

Instructions

Working time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 6 minutes

Spread tomato paste on one side of the toast slices. Top the toast slices with ham and cheese on the spread side, season with pepper and oregano, fold over, and coat with breadcrumbs. The toast should be sealed on all four sides to prevent any cheese from escaping. Then, fry the toast slowly in a deep fryer or pan with a little more oil. Deep fry at about 140 degrees Celsius. Side dish: any kind of salad. Tip: If the toast browns too quickly, remove it and place it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
