Fried cheese slices

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 160 g sausage meat (bratwurst meat)
  • 8 slice(s) Tilsiter, about 30 grams each
  • some flour (for breading)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 shot of cream (full cream)
  • some breadcrumbs
  • Fat, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Whisk together eggs and cream in a soup bowl. Pour flour into a soup bowl and breadcrumbs into a soup bowl. Spread the bread slices very thinly with sausage meat on both sides. Cover both sides with cheese slices and press together firmly. Then coat the slices thoroughly twice (dip in egg, flour, and breadcrumbs) to ensure they are well coated. Slowly fry the slices in moderately hot oil until golden brown.
