Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Formed in the Happy Snack, baked in the Optigrill XL baking tray (12 pieces)
Take the puff pastry out of the fridge, roll it out, and cut it in half so that each half fits on the Happy Snack. Lightly flour the Happy Snack, place one half of the puff pastry on top, and press down lightly. Mix together the ketchup, mustard, and tomato paste. Using a brush, spread 1/3 of the cream into each of the indentations. Cut 24 1 cm x 1 cm pieces from the Gouda slice. Place a piece of Gouda on top of the cream, then place a piece of currywurst in the middle. Spread another 1/3 of the cream on the sausage and place another Gouda square on top. Brush the exposed areas of the puff pastry with a little water. Then place the second half of the puff pastry on top, press down lightly, cover with baking paper, and roll firmly over it with a rolling pin. Turn the Happy Snack over and carefully push out the pieces with the pestle. If the pieces do crack, simply fill in the gaps with small pieces of puff pastry from the edges. Place the pastries at a slight angle in the XL baking tray, spread with the remaining cream, and top with the remaining Gouda (cut into 12 pieces). Place the baking tray in the Optigrill. Close the lid and turn on the grill. Select manual mode and set the temperature to “Orange.” Bake the pastries for 25-30 minutes without preheating. Remove from the tray after baking.
