Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 600 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 150 g oat bran
- 2 tsp salt
- 500 ml water, lukewarm
- 2 sachets of dry yeast
- 12 tsp sunflower seeds
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
with oat bran and sunflower seeds, makes 12 pieces
Mix the whole-wheat flour with the oat bran and salt. Dissolve the yeast in the water and add it to the flour. Knead everything thoroughly with your hands until the dough is no longer sticky. Form the dough into 12 equal-sized balls, place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with water, and top/sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon of sunflower seeds, pressing slightly flat. Place a roasting pan or casserole dish on the floor of the oven, slide the tray with the rolls into the middle rack of a cold oven, and bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes. After 10 minutes, pour boiling water into the roasting pan.
