Blood orange jelly with chili and ginger

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ liter juice (blood orange juice)
  • 2 lemons, juice
  • 2 cm ginger root, finely chopped
  • 2 chili peppers, red, pitted and finely chopped
  • 500 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Wake-up call for breakfast

In a wide, shallow saucepan, bring the orange juice, lemon juice, chili, and ginger to a boil. Stir in the sugar and, once dissolved, simmer gently for about 30 minutes. After 20 minutes, test the setting time by placing a drop of the liquid on a cold plate. If it sets quickly, the jelly is ready to serve. Pour hot into preheated jars and seal immediately.
