Apple marzipan jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 700 g apples, peeled and pitted
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • 150 ml apple juice
  • 150 g marzipan paste
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 5 drops of bitter almond flavor

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 34 minutes

Combine lemon juice and apple juice in a large saucepan. Grate the apples and mix them with the juice immediately, so they won’t brown as much. Stir in the gelling sugar. Finely dice the marzipan and add it, stirring in. Season with cinnamon and bitter almond extract. Bring everything to a boil and continue to simmer for 4 minutes while stirring. Be careful, it will splash! Then pour into hot, rinsed twist-off jars and seal them tightly.
