Homemade cooked cheese

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g cheese (Harzer, not too soft)
  • 125 g butter
  • 300 ml milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

Cut the cheese into small pieces and melt it in a saucepan over a pan of simmering water. Add the butter and mix well until smooth. Finally, add the milk and mix well. Don’t be fooled if it seems too thin; it will firm up again as it cools.
