Marshmallows for fondant

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g sugar, or icing sugar
  • 125 ml water
  • 3 bags of gelatin, ground
  • 125 ml water
  • n. B. flavoring
  • 1,200 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

homemade

Boil 350g sugar (or better yet, powdered sugar) with 125ml water and let it simmer for a while until the sugar has dissolved. Don’t set the temperature too high (professionals use a thermometer here). Then heat 125ml water with 3 packets of ground gelatin and dissolve. In a food processor, whisk the sugar solution, then add the gelatin solution and stir. Add vanilla flavoring or any other flavoring of your choice. After a short time, the mixture will begin to thicken and turn a wonderfully snow-white color. Then add powdered sugar until it reaches the desired consistency. I used about 6 packets. But it also makes quite a lot of fondant. I’m really impressed with the consistency. It was great to work with.
