Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 pack of puff pastry, fresh, 275 g
- 1 bar of dark chocolate
- 1 egg yolk, whisked
- 30 g pecans
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
With pecans
Preheat oven to 210°C (top/bottom heat). Roll out the puff pastry and cut it so that it is about three times as wide as the chocolate. Place the bar in the middle of the puff pastry. Cut the puff pastry diagonally into strips about 3 cm wide to the right and left of the chocolate. Cut a line in the pastry above and below the chocolate. Cut off the top and bottom side strips of pastry and set them aside. Fold the pastry strip over the chocolate above and below the chocolate bar and overlap the side strips in a plaited pattern. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
