Nutella – nut spread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter, very soft
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp hazelnuts, ground
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, (not an instant ready-made product)
  • 100 ml cream
  • 2 tbsp Amaretto

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Just the way we like it, but not for kids!

Place a medium-sized glass bowl on the stovetop and set the heat to 1/2 or the lowest setting, as everything will be lukewarm. Melt the butter, stir in the honey, then slowly add the powdered sugar. Stir well to avoid lumps and to create a creamy mixture. In another bowl, combine the cocoa and hazelnuts and add to the mixture. Stir in the cream and Amaretto (to taste). Transfer the mixture to tightly sealed jars and refrigerate. This yields approximately 400g and will keep for about a week. It’s also suitable as a cake filling or topping.
