Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g potato(s), waxy
  • 125 ml cream
  • 125 ml milk
  • 30 g butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 100 g cheese (grated hard cheese)

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Rub a fireproof dish with the garlic clove and brush with a teaspoon of butter. Peel the potatoes and boil them until almost tender. Slice the potatoes and arrange them in a fan-shaped pattern in the casserole dish. Season each layer with salt and a little (!) pepper. Pour the milk and cream mixture over the potatoes and season with nutmeg. Spread the hard cheese evenly over the surface. Bake in the oven at approximately 200°C for 60 minutes until golden brown.
