Marjoram – Potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 40 g butter
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 40 g flour
  • 2 tbsp marjoram, fresh, chopped, or 1 tsp dried
  • 250 ml broth, strong (instant)
  • 1 kg potatoes, waxy, cooked
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 shot of vinegar
  • 125 ml cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Heat butter in a saucepan and sauté the onion cubes until translucent. Sprinkle with flour and add marjoram. Stir in the stock and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes. Cut the potatoes into not-too-thin slices or cubes and cook in the sauce until tender. Season with salt, pepper, and a dash of vinegar. Stir in the cream. Serve the marjoram potatoes hot immediately. Serve with meatballs or boiled beef.
