Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes, fresh
  • 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp thyme, shredded
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 100 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • 400 ml whipped cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Potato gratin

Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Season with salt, pepper, parsley, and thyme. Grease one large or two small ovenproof dishes. Peel the garlic, finely chop or press it, and spread it in the dish. Add the potato slices in a flake-like pattern and sprinkle with the cheese. Pour the whipped cream over the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C to 250°C for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Serve hot.
