Ice cream sundae with strawberries

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 450 g strawberries, hulled
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 150 g whipped cream
  • 500 ml ice cream (vanilla ice cream)
  • 4 tbsp almonds, peeled, chopped, roasted

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Combine 175g of strawberries with powdered sugar and lemon juice in a bowl and blend until smooth using a hand blender. To remove any small nuts, pass the puree through a fine sieve into another bowl. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Slice the remaining strawberries and layer them with ice cream scoops and whipped cream in four large dessert glasses. Pour the strawberry sauce over the top and garnish with the chopped almonds. Serve immediately.
