Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 slices of Leberkäse
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices of bread (wholemeal bread)
  • 1 jar mixed pickles
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • Oil for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • possibly mustard

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with Leberkäse

Slice the onions and coat in flour. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onion rings until golden brown, turning frequently, then remove. Halve the Leberkäse slices. Heat oil in a pan and fry the slices on both sides. In a second pan, fry the eggs until fried. Season with salt and pepper. Top the bread slices with lettuce. Top with Leberkäse and the fried eggs, then scatter the onion rings on top. Serve with the mixed pickles. It also tastes delicious with mustard spread on the whole-grain bread.
