  • 1 portion of mushrooms from the can, drained
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s), sliced
  • 1 tbsp honey, liquid (forest honey)

  • 1 pinch(s) cumin

  • 1 slice(s) of bread (toast or brown bread)
  • 2 slices of salami
  • some margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

simple and quick, yet tasty and filling

Toast the bread. Spread with a little margarine. Top with the salami, just like you would a normal sausage sandwich. Fry the Leberkäse over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Meanwhile, in a non-stick pan, lightly sauté the sliced onion. When the onions are very lightly browned, add the honey and stir well. Immediately add the pepper and turn off the heat. Leave the pan on the stovetop. When the Leberkäse is ready, place it on the salami bread and dust lightly with cumin. Then immediately cover with cheese. The warmth of the Leberkäse will melt the Gouda slightly. Quickly stir the onions again and then add them directly to the Gouda. It also tastes delicious with a fried egg on top, with the onions on the side as a side dish.
